3. PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

3.1 Exposure Standards
No exposure limit has been established for this material by Worksafe , however the following is recommended for nuisance dust : TWA 10 mg/m3.
3.2 Engineering Controls
A system of local and/or general exhaust is recommended to keep employee exposures as low as possible. Local exhaust ventilation is generally preferred because it can control the emissions of the contaminant at its source, preventing dispersion of it into the general work area.
3.3 Personal Protection
Respiratory protection - for conditions of use where exposure to the dust or mist is apparent, a half-face dust/mist respirator nay be worn. For emergencies or instances where the exposure levels are not known, use a full-face positive pressure, air-supplied respirator. WARNING : Air-purifying respirators do not protect workers in oxygen deficient atmospheres. Skin protection - wear protectvive glovs and clean body-covering clothing. Eye protection - use chemical safety goggles.
3.4 Flammability
Material is not flammable but is combustible and will burn in fire conditions.
SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION

4.1 Storage / Transport
Keep in a tightly closed container. Protect from physical damage. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sources of heat, moisture and incompatibles such as acids, ferric salts and strong oxidisers. Avoid dust formation and control ignition sources. Employ grounding, venting and explosion relief provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices in any process capable of generating dust and/or static electricity. Empty only into inert or non-flammable atmosphere. Emptying contents into a non-inert atmosphere where flammable vapours may be present could cause a flash fire or explosion due to electrostatic discharge. Containers of this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues (dust, solids); observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product.
4.2 Packaging / Labelling

Hazard
Risk Phrases
Safety Phrases
S22 Do not breathe dust.
S24/25 Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
S26 In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
S45 In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label whenever possible).
4.3 Spills and Disposal
Spills
Clean-up personnel should wear full protective clothing including breathing apparatus in dusty conditions. Avoid raising dust. Ventilate area of leak or spill.
Sweep up and containerise for reclammation or disposal. Vacuuming or wet sweeping may be used to avoid dust dispersal.
Disposal
Whatever cannot be saved for recovery or recycling should be managed in an appropriate and approved waste disposal facility. Processing, use or contamination of this product may change the waste managment options. State and local disposal regulations may differ from federal disposal regulations. Dispose of container and unused contents in accordance with federal, state and local requirements.
4.4 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD
Fire / Explosion
Material is stable, will not burn or explode. Incompatible with strong oxidisers, acids and ferric salts. Hazardous decomposition products include carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and/or benzoic acid. This substance does not polymerise. As with most organic solids, fire is possible at elevated temperatures or by contact with an ignition source. Fine dust dispersed in air in sufficient concentrations, and in the presence of an ignition source is a potential dust explosion hazard.
Extinguishing Media
In the event of a fire, wear full protective clothing and NIOSH approve self-contained breathing apparatus with full facepiece operated in the pressure demand or other positive pressure mode. Use any means suitable for extinguishing surrounding fire. Water spray can be used to extinguish fires and cool fire exposed containers.
