Properties and Application:
Heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) is a colorless, nearly odorless, insulation gas at room temperature and normal
pressure. Its density is six times that of air. It is a colorless, non-toxic, non-flammable and transparent liquid
under the pressure created by itself. It has excellent thermal and chemical stabilities.
As a clean, environment-friendly, high effective and low toxic fire-extinguishing agent, it is an ideal substitute
for halon 1301, and has been listed on NFPA2001 standard fire-extinguishing agent by the US national fire
proof association. It can also be used as refrigerant and medicine propellant.
